CEREC utilizes 3D photography and CAD/CAM technology to allow your crown to be made in a single visit, so our dentists can give you immediate results.
CAD/CAM dentistry involves a digital impression from one or more scans, designing the restoration on a computer, and manufacturing the restoration. Depending on the type of restoration, your crown can be milled out of a color-matched ceramic block in just 6 to 15 minutes, meaning less time spent at the dentist! Furthermore, the incredible accuracy of the digital mapping technology of CEREC, which charts the inside of the patient’s mouth, ensures that there is no risk of inaccurate dental impressions that can result in patient discomfort with bulky molds and unnecessary debris in their mouth. In addition, the CEREC method also provides a more aesthetically-pleasing, tooth-like look. It also lasts a long time and is biocompatible and metal-free. The benefits are numerous!
